Although my comments in this article are primarily directed toward
senior citizens sixty-five and above, they could also apply to
virtually anyone over fifty-five who is retired or semi-retired and has
a lot of extra time on their hands.
The music business began to dry up for me when I was in my mid-fifties
and over ten years away from full retirement age. Fortunately, my
business included a couple of music publishing companies from which I
continue to earn a good living to this day without having to put in
long hours.

Ah...the essential dinner party. Yes, there may be all kinds of new
ways to entertain friends - from your all-white penthouse and vodka
party in New York City, or over the grill with the latest
health-conscious country-on-country fusion, perhaps. But when it comes
right down to it, the plain truth is that the most grown-up and
gracious of all entertainments comes down to the humble - or not so
humble - dinner party.
Think about this: back a few decades ago, one of the chief reasons for
the up-and-coming businessman to have a wife in the first place was so
that he'd have a suitable hostess for such soirees. The right wife - in
addition to being beauteous to look upon and charming - would be able
to put together an impressive menu, an interesting guest list, and a
tasteful table.

The Deceiving Ways of a Briefcase and Deviant Minds
A Briefcase Says It All
A briefcase is associated with lawyers and other big guns in the
professional and marketing world. Anybody toting this flat rectangular
case sends a message that he or she has important stuff in that piece
of accessory, stuff they cannot live without while on the job. To drive
the point, they have insured these documents, and their briefcases have
turnkeys to discourage light fingers from getting to these papers.
